The Academy of Gospel Music, Ltd. Formed in 2000, company limited by guarantee with charitable objects.
This Birmingham based company received earliest recognition from Birmingham City Council by being featured in proposals for Be In Birmingham European Capital of Culture 2008. Initial training programmes include encouraging young people as they learn to sing new music, develop new musical skills, challenging their character and personal development. Initial adult programmes include vocal training, coaching and choir experiences. Participants in any activities at the Academy of Gospel Music are offered performance opportunities. The Academy works in partnership with other nationally known performance and training organisations. Work has included collaborations with Birmingham Catholic Partnership of schools and the London Community Gospel Choir. Participants including young people have been profiled at various locations around the West Midlands, UK and Europe. The Academy is home toMidlands Gospel Artsproviding gospel artists for public & private engagement. |

To establish a centre of excellence for the teaching, training, development and promotion of Gospel Artists and Gospel Music and related arts.
Business Vision
The vision of the Academy of Gospel Music is to see people reach their full musical potential by providing:-
A full-time Centre of excellence covering all aspects of Gospel music education, performance, promotion and lifestyle.
Support for artists in other art forms such as dance and drama.
To provide a wonderful venue with a broad range of resources including information about the UK gospel industry.
In addtion to our vocal and choral programmes we plan on developing a wide range of instrumental programmes including keyboards, band, wind and string instruments.
A wide range of support services to assist in Music promotion & performance in the global music industry.
A range of music and arts programmes in partnership with other Arts providers with or without Gospel basis.
An Agency (Midland Gospel Arts) for Gospel Musicians & Artists.
