The Academy of Gospel Music, Ltd. Formed in 2000, company limited by guarantee with charitable objects.

 

This Birmingham based company received earliest recognition from Birmingham City Council by being featured in proposals for ‘Be In Birmingham – European Capital of Culture 2008’.

Initial training programmes include encouraging young people as they learn to sing new music, develop new musical skills, challenging their character and personal development.
Initial adult programmes include vocal training, coaching and choir experiences.
 
Participants in any activities at the Academy of Gospel Music are offered performance opportunities.
 
The Academy works in partnership with other nationally known performance and training organisations.
 
Work has included collaborations with Birmingham’s Catholic Partnership of schools and the London Community Gospel Choir.

 

Participants including young people have been profiled at various locations around the West Midlands, UK and Europe.

 

The Academy is home to Midlands Gospel Arts providing gospel artists for public & private engagement.
